You reach for the same one, you play the same way, and the game gets smaller.
A Dandy's World wheel is a spinner loaded with the game's toons, so a spin decides who you take in. Spin it for a random toon, a random trinket, or both together for a run you did not plan.
The wheel is above this text with the current roster on it. Below you will find the trinket wheel, how to run a full random challenge, and what to do about fan made characters.
What is a Dandy's World wheel?
A Dandy's World wheel is a free random character picker holding the game's toons. Spin it and it lands on one, which decides who you play. Players use it for challenge runs, for variety, and for settling who takes which toon in a group.
Two things go on wheels for this game. Toons are the characters you play. Trinkets are the items you equip, and they change how a run feels as much as the toon does.
Keep them on separate wheels. Spin both and you get a genuinely unplanned run.
How do you use the toon wheel?
Click the wheel and let it land on a toon. Spin again for a trinket if you want the full random loadout. Remove toons you have not unlocked before you start, so every result is one you can actually play.
The order that works:
- Take off any toon you have not unlocked yet
- Spin for your toon
- Spin the trinket wheel for the items
- Play the run exactly as it landed, no rerolls
Filter before you spin
This is the part people skip, and it is the difference between a useful wheel and a frustrating one.
Requests that come up constantly across character wheels: take off the ones I have not unlocked, take off the ones I already played, take off the overpowered picks. A random result is only fun when every possible result is one you would accept.
So trim the list first. It takes ten seconds and it makes every spin count.
| Wheel | What is on it | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| Main toons | The standard playable roster | Everyday runs and variety |
| Event toons | Limited and seasonal characters | Players with them unlocked |
| Trinkets | Equippable items | Random loadout challenges |
| Full random | Toon and trinket together | Challenge runs and videos |
Does the wheel include every toon?
The wheel holds the current playable roster and gets checked against game updates. Every entry is visible in the list before you spin, so you can count them yourself and take off anything you do not want in the pool.
That sounds obvious. It is not, and it matters more than it should.
Roster arguments are common on character wheels because most of them never show what is on the list. Fans end up debating whether a wheel is missing someone or counting a character that should not be there, with no way to check. An inspectable list ends that.
Two rules we follow here. The list is visible and countable. The update date is on the page, so you know whether it covers the latest content.
Can you add your own characters to the wheel?
Yes. Type any name into the entry box and it becomes a slice, which is how people run wheels for original characters. Keep fan made characters on a separate wheel from the official toons, because mixing them makes results confusing in a group.
A Dandy's World community thread ran exactly into this. Someone hosting a wheel taking original character submissions was asked whether a character had to fit the game's style, and the host confirmed it did. Worth deciding before you build the list.
So pick one:
- Official toons only, for challenge runs and group picks
- Original characters only, for art prompts and roleplay
- A mixed wheel, as long as everyone spinning knows what is on it
What other fandom wheels are there?
Character wheels work the same way across every fandom, with the roster already loaded so you skip the typing. Art challenges, tournament draws and roleplay prompts all run off the same mechanic, only the list changes.
