What challenges do people run with it?

Can you pick a team to support with it?
Yes, and people genuinely do this. A new fan described spinning a wheel to choose which team to follow, landing on one of them, and then setting out to learn that franchise's whole history from scratch.
That use case deserves more than a result screen. The spin takes a second and the interesting part is everything after it.
So if you are choosing a team this way, three things worth doing next:
- Read the franchise history, because that is where the attachment comes from
- Find the current roster and the recent seasons, so you know what you signed up for
- Watch the next game with it on, which is what actually makes it stick
The wheel makes the decision. It does not make you a fan, and pretending otherwise would be silly.
Does the wheel have all 32 teams?
Yes. All 32 franchises sit on the wheel, split across the AFC and the NFC, and the full list stays visible before you spin so that you can check the pool over for yourself first.
Logos and team names come from one record, so a result cannot show one team's name with another's logo.
If a franchise relocates or rebrands, the list and the update date on this page are what tell you whether the wheel has caught up. That happens rarely in this league, which makes it easier to keep current than a live game roster.
Is the NFL wheel random?
Yes. All 32 teams have the same chance on every spin, and the result comes from your browser's own random number generator. Filtering by conference changes the pool, not the fairness of any individual draw.
If the same team lands twice in a row with repeats on, that is a normal streak. Turn on remove after pick for draft orders and rebuild series where each team belongs to one slot.
