How does the team then era then player format work?
Keep the three draws separate. Spin for a team, then spin for an era, then pick the player from that combination. Three explicit steps means you can accept one result and redraw another without losing the whole lineup.

The reason it works is that combining them removes your choices. A single wheel handing you one team, one year and one player forces you to take all three or none.

Yes. All 32 franchises sit on the wheel, split across the Eastern and the Western conferences, and the full list stays visible before you spin so that you can check the pool over for yourself.
Logos and team names come from one record, so a result cannot pair one team's name with another's badge.
The league expanded relatively recently, so the update date on this page is worth a glance if you are using an older bookmark.
Is the NHL wheel random?
Yes. All 32 teams have the same chance on every spin, and the result comes from your browser's own random number generator. Filtering by conference changes the pool, not the fairness of any single draw.
A team landing twice with repeats on is a normal streak. Turn on remove after pick when each team belongs to exactly one slot.
