How do you use the Warrior Cats wheel?
Filter to the arcs you have read, then spin. The wheel lands on one cat. Turn on remove after pick to work through an arc without repeats, which is how long drawing challenges get run.

How do you avoid spoilers?
Filter to the arcs you have read before your first spin. An unfiltered wheel covers the whole series, so it will land on cats from books you have not reached, and some names give away what happens.
The arc filter is the single most useful setting on this wheel for anyone still reading.
The same applies to rank and clan filters, where a cat's position can reveal a later development. If you are partway through, set the filter once and leave it.
Can you generate a clan, rank or name?
Yes, on separate wheels. Spin a clan wheel for allegiance, a rank wheel for position, and a name wheel for a prefix and suffix combination, which is how people build original characters rather than picking existing ones.
Keeping them apart is the right structure. A combined wheel would hand you a clan when you wanted a character.
